Here's Sylvie the other day working on her barrel rolls.

Daddy is a nerd
Sylvie may not realize it yet, but Daddy can be a bit of a nerd. Mommy tries to warn her often, but she's too happy with Daddy to be concerned. Sylvie has years until real embarrassment.
So we got new data. And with data comes charts. What fun! All the data is shown on the sidebar. I found pictures of the percentile curves, which I'll post a little later.

GLOW Baby Smackdown
We visited Joc & Co. yesterday on a lovely Spring day. While I was having fun doing yard work, apparently a full-blown wresting match went down. For those of you too young or mature, GLOW stands for Gorgeous Ladies of Wresting; a gem of 80s television.

Chatting away
In efforts to put up more fun content, I'll be putting up live action videos of Sylvie. I'm sure Uncle Rasta G is expecting footage of "crazy air off the pipe, Yo". Maybe in a few months...

Long time, no blog
Okay, okay. So I have been remiss lately in updating the blog, but I have a good excuse. I finally joined Facebook after receiving a few on-line request to join from friends, and I have to say that it is one of the greatest inventions...ever! In just a period of four days, I have gotten back in touch with people from grade school, high school and college--some of whom I haven't seen or talked to in, like, 10+ years. I am totally addicted, so any online time in recent days has been focused on that.
To catch you up on recent occurrences, here we go: Sylvie has been all about her hands lately. She is working really hard at touching and trying to grasp things, and loves to stick her fist in her mouth. She is starting to make the connection that she can control those things at the ends of her arms. I have some video that shows off her new skills, but I need to upload and edit on our computer first. As soon as I do, I'll put it on here.
Also, Sylvie and I finally made it to this "Mommies and Me" exercise class last Friday that I have been trying to get to for a while. Little did I know what I was in for. Since being pregnant and having her, anything that I have done exercise-wise has been fairly moderately paced, so this class kicked my butt. For the first half of the class, we used "smartbells" (as opposed to dumbbells)--basically 6lb weighted disks you hold and do upper body strengtheners while doing squats, lunges, grapevines, etc. Very high intensity stuff.
All the babies were lined up along the mirror in the front of the room on mats while we worked out. The whole time I was secretly wishing that Sylvie would get upset and need to be picked up so that I could take a break, but no, she was totally mesmerized and content the whole time. Good for her, bad for me. I'm still nursing lots of sore muscles!
In the absence of new video, here are some recent pictures of Sylvie.
