Cousins, cousins, cousins!

Last weekend we went down to Connecticut to see some family. First stop was Ethan & Luke's pool/birthday party.

Later that weekend, we stopped by to see some other cousins- Craig, Alicia, Wes, and Ben. Nikki, Aunt Janet, and Alexa also stopped by.

To the Cape again

So it seems that we can't tear ourselves away from the Cape these days. Even though we just recently came back from our own trip down to Hyannis a couple weeks ago, we went back again last weekend--this time, to stay for a couple days with my sister and her family in Eastham.

This was the same house we went to a couple years back (http://sylvieandhenri.blogspot.com/ 2008/08/cape-cod.html). It was funny to think back to that trip because Sylvie was just a month older at that time than Henri is now, and my niece, Lily, was just around Sylvie's current age. How time does fly.
As usual, I've included a nymber of photos. (And, this is the pared down selection.)

Here's Henri, enjoying a hearty breakfast before getting in the car. He does love his food.
Since we had a couple hours to kill before check-in, we made our second visit to the Zooquarium in just two weeks. Beau wasn't around for the first visit, so it added some novelty to the experience.
Feeding some farmyard friends...

What's more, Beau even got Sylvie to ride the pony! Daddy's got the magic touch.

Ringing the bell on the train.

Pictures from around the house.

Uncle Beau and his cool kung fu sword. (Looks like Henri is doing his own kung fu moves in the picture above. Is that Southern Fist?)

A picture from a morning drive to Nauset Light Beach.

On our way to the local beach.
The scenery on our walk.
"First Encounter Beach," the best beach on the Cape, in my opinion.

It's incredible how much the water receeds at low tide. You can walk probably a quarter mile out on what is normally the ocean floor.

The beach at low tide.

Amy and the boys, looking for clams.

Luke's catch of the day. (It was later set free.)

Now, the same beach at high tide.

(Same grass patches as in the first of the low tide pictures.)

Hanging out on the beach just before coming back to Boston.
