Forest Hills Cemetery

Right near where Joc lives, there is a beautiful cemetery called Forest Hills Cemetery that I had heard about and been near, but never actually been to. Neither had Joc, so yesterday afternoon, we decided to bring the babies there to see it and enjoy the grounds.
It was quite impressive, with lots of big, beautiful old trees, sculptures, and some interesting gravestones and monuments. The place was pretty massive; we only saw a small part of it, but the babies enjoyed climbing on the tombstones (a little morbid) and chasing the geese near the pond.

A little scenery

I liked how the ivy was growing up the statue.

A cool sculpture next to the pond that blew in the wind. Here's Bibi, getting a closer look.

Iman, also getting a closer look.

Joc, trying to prevent Bibi and Iman from taking a dip in the water.

Hopefully these people didn't mind...

Our trip to the Cape

Finally I'm publishing the post about our trip to the Cape which happened a few weeks ago. It's been a long process determining what to include, but here are some highlights.
(I apologize in advance for some of the photo formatting. Blogger wasn't willing to cooperate with some of the photo placements.)

In the morning before leaving on Saturday, Sylvie had one last rock with some of her closest friends.

We arrived before Jocelyn, Grammy, and the cousins, so Beau and Sylvie decided
to go exploring around the neighborhood in our new bike trailer.

Her first biking companion, "Big Bunny."

When everyone finally arrived, Beau broke out the crazy cool kiddy pool
he just bought and the kids went for a dip in the buff.

A close-up of Iman.

Bibi, mid-splash.

The next morning, the girls took a spin. It looks like they didn't enjoy it from this picture, but they were cracking up. See the video below. You can kind of hear them giggling if you listen close enough.

Here's a peek at our beach adventures throughout the week:

Our little beach bunny.

Daddy and Sylvie.

Bibi and Amine.

Daddies and babies, digging in the sand.
Iman, a rare moment enjoying the beach. Sand and
ocean
water were definitely not two of her favorite things.

The crew.

Joc and Bibi

Grammy/Mimi and Iman

Sylvie and me

Mmmm. Goldfish.

More digging in the sand.

Water-time fun.

Iman, taking a snooze under the umbrella

Hanging out around the house:

Chillin' on the chair

Bibi and Sylvie, climbing on the chair

Babies in a hammock.

The only picture of the three of us where Beau's eyes aren't closed
or he's not making a weird face.

Our trip to Provincetown included a stop at a neat Zen garden and a trip to the harbor.

Bibi, Iman, and Jocelyn checking out the koi fish.

Sylvie checking out the Buddha.

What's in there?

Oooh. Water fountain.

More Buddhas

Going for a dip at one of the P-town beaches.

Trying to get Iman in the water, without success.

Our last morning on the Cape.

Beau and Sylvie really know how to get down

How much more similar can Beau and Sylvie get? Turn on the Parliament, and they both can't help but get funky. Is it genetic? Must be.

Sylvie loves yogurt

Messiness ensues as Sylvie is given free reign to eat her yogurt how she pleases.

Sylvie's sibling revealed

Here's the first baby picture, albeit not the most crystal clear one, of Sylvie's little brother or sister. (We're hoping to find out which one at the next ultrasound at the end of August.)

Unlike some other people we know who had the foresight not to name their blogs specific to their first child/children, we didn't quite think ahead in that department. So, at some point in the future, expect the name of this blog to change. We haven't settled on a new blog name quite yet, but we'll let you know when that happens.

In the meantime, say hello to the baby Beau lovingly refers to as "The Deuce."

For those of you who are wondering, this is a profile of the baby's head,
and you can see his/her hand just off to the right.
