Henri

Welcome Henri Miles Tremblay! Henri arrived just one day before his due date, on January 29th, at 6:23 am. He weighed 7 lbs, 10.6 oz and measured 20 3/4 inches long. Fortunately, he decided to make an appearance before my dad had to leave to go back to Chicago. We spent most of the week anticipating his arrival, so it was great that my dad had a chance to meet him in person!

Here's video from the delivery room of Henri and proud Daddy.

Mommy and baby after a long, long night.

I have to apologize to Amy, who drove up from CT to visit us on Friday. I didn't get any pictures of her with Henri the whole time she was with us in the hospital. Duh!

We had the option of staying until Sunday, but after a noisy and sleepless night Friday night, I decided to go home a day early. It ended up being a good choice.

Here's Henri, getting all geared up to leave in his red outfit--a little Maggie Simpson-esque.

And finally, here is Sylvie and Henri's first encounter. She has been great with him so far. Unfortunately, we have to try to have her keep her distance while she is still sick with a cold. She's dying to give him lots of kisses and hugs.

Weight Limits

Here the cousins are testing the weight limits of Sylvie's crib and trampoline. I think the posse probably weighs in around 80 lbs, so it's reassuring that the 75 lb weight limit of the trampoline (unknown for the crib) were probably tested for +25 lbs beyond the recommended limit. They put it to the test.

Breakin'

Here's Sylvie getting down on some cardboard (80's-style) while daddy busts out some Herbie Hancock. For those of you who'd like to reminisce.

Rock it!

Gettin' crazy with the cousins

Funny video and pictures from Beau and Sylvie's visit to see Bibi, Iman, Joc and Amine yesterday. I love that they totally enjoy and entertain each other.

And some pictures and video from a different day at home:

Holidays

Finally, a new post. It's taken a while to put up our pictures and video from Christmas, but here they are.

The day after a big snowstorm blew through on the 19th, which also happened to hit the day Mimi arrived, Sylvie, Beau and I headed over to Joc's to play a little bit. Joc put the twins in their new snowsuits, and we headed outside. Bibi seemed instantly comfortable. It took a little time for Sylvie to warm up to the idea of playing in the snow. And, Iman, well, she tried to avoid touching the snow as much as she could. Hard to do when it's everywhere. Needless to say, she didn't last long outside. Sand, ocean water, and now snow, just don't do it for her.

Sylvie's one tough snow biker chick. Don't mess with me.

Bibi: aka the blue marshmallow.

Inside, the cousins had fun goofing around with each other.

A blog entry wouldn't be complete without a game of ring-around-the-rosie. Here they are, performing all by themselves. A first.

Sylvie decided to sit this round out. Bibi and Iman enjoyed themselves.

Jumping ahead to Christmas Eve. Here we are at Joc and Amine's for dinner and some present opening.

I could have dressed up like Santa with my belly.
Silliness.

More silliness.

What Iman was doing, I'm not sure. She stayed there like that for a good five minutes. Funny girl. Maybe she was trying to imitate her Baba's post-Thanksgiving dinner pose (see Thanksgiving post).

Here's Beau, doing his best to look angelic and, Amine, well, he just found out he was going to WWE Raw Live. He was stunned.

This is the only shot that I got where all four subjects had their eyes open. Unfortunately, the red-eye feature on our computer did a number on Beau's eyes.
The following day, everyone came over to our place for Christmas dinner. Here the kids are, modeling Sylvie's "Happy Birthday" banner.

I had to put this one up of Joc and Amine channeling Papere's infamous dance moves after dinner. We'll get video one day of The Man and His Dance.

The next set of pictures and video was taken the same day that we were over at Joc's for the snow fun.

Fun with PhotoBooth...
Bibi and Mimi--double take.

The Great Floating Bibi Head.

That's a new expression for Beau.
