A few weeks ago, Sylvie and I (Beau) went down to Rhode Island to visit my friends Carolyn, Doug, and Mason at Roger Williams Park zoo. I worked with Carolyn nearly 7 years ago, but we still try to get together once an a while. It's hard to believe it still only happens roughly once a year when we're only 1 hour away. Sometimes, it's all about making the effort.
Here's Sylvie in the butterfly garden. Daddy got yelled at almost immediately when he wanted a butterfly to climb onto his finger. The butterfly guards were on him!

Harvard Sq and Danehy Park
I realized that there were a few more pictures from when my sister was in town. On her last day here we met in Harvard Square, took in some music, and had some hot chocolate at L.A. Burdicks (yes, even on a 70 degree day, but trust me--it's amazing!) before taking them to the airport.
The following day, Beau and Sylvie went to Danehy Park while I went into work for a little bit. I met up with them later and snapped a few pics and a video of Beau dangerously tossing Sylvie high into the air. She loved it, of course.

Family time
My sister Jenny and Sylvie's cousins, Lily and Patrick, arrived in town from Chicago on Wednesday for a visit. To get out and enjoy the day today, the five of us lunched at a local cafe before meeting up with my other sister, Amy, and her son, Luke, at the zoo. Here are some pictures from our outings.

Sylvie's first carousel ride--she loved it and put up quite a fuss when the ride was over.
