Holiday Recap

We've had a busy past week or so with Sylvie's first birthday and a trip to Chicago for the holidays. To start the festivities, we had some family and friends over for lasagna and cupcakes to celebrate Sylvie's one-year birthday. Below are some pictures. We took most of the footage with our other video camera and haven't gotten around to transferring that yet, but we have a few snapshots.

Here's Sylvie, enjoying her new piano. Requests, anyone?

We then flew to Chicago the morning of the 23rd, narrowly beating a major storm that would have surely grounded us in Boston if we had left any later. We spent Christmas morning with Jenny, John and the kids before heading out to see my mom.

While we were there, we stayed part of the time at my grandmother's condo, which is right on Lake Michigan. Here are some pictures:

The lake...brrr

During our trip home, we also had the unexpected pleasure of meeting up with my good friend, Mia--Aunt Mia--who was in town from Costa Rica. We went to a cafe for lunch with her and her two nieces.

And finally, we had a belated Christmas dinner with the whole family at my sister's house our second to last night there. It was a lot of fun, and delicious, too!

Fun at the Royal Sonesta with the Wadsworths

Amy, Bill, Ethan and Luke came up this weekend for a pre-birthday birthday get-together, since we won't see them at Christmas. Sylvie, as usual, had a lot of fun with her cousins, especially in the pool.

One final (unrelated) picture. Here's Sylvie's latest thing...picking out clothes from the laundry pile and putting them on. She's into the multi-layered look these days.

BOO Party

Last weekend, we went to my new company's holiday party. As the only 30-something w/ kid at the event, Sylvie had center stage to charm my new colleagues. We didn't take many pictures of the event, but have a few prep shots and around the tree.

Party? I am so there.

Buns on the run

It may be fake, but gifts are still enticing

Love the tree & ornaments

Team Tremblay 2012

A little while back, we discovered Sylvie's amazing athletic skills in the bathtub. Beau has taken it upon himself to be her coach and start a rigorous schedule of training so that she is ready to compete in the 2012 summer Olympics. He is determined that she will be the next Tiger Woods, or Venus and Serena Williams, of the bathtub crewing world. Take a look-see.
