Our new house (hopefully!)

Hello all-
Here are some preliminary pictures of the condo we just put an offer on, which was accepted.  It is still undergoing renovation, so the interior/exterior aren't completely finished yet.  Beau and I are excited.  It should be a great place and it's in an awesome location.
Even though it's not a single family, it has all the things we were looking for: good location, multi-level, own yard, bedrooms separate from the main living area, room for additional play space for the kids.  We'll probably be moving at the end of April, since they still need to still complete everything, but here's a sneak-peek.

Once our series of snow storms ended (see previous posts) in January, we went into a deep freeze after a sleet storm left everything covered in a thick layer of ice.  I took some video from one of our walks to show the extent of the ice coverage.
You never realize the challenges of navigating a stroller through treacherous ice, around huge snow piles and through an obstacle course of shoveled and unshoveled sidewalks until you have to do it.  It's either just take on the challenge, or stay cooped up in the house for a month +.  Thank goodness our strollers are hardy enough for the task!  This first video shows us out on one of those first warm days after the ice took over.

Now for something completely different...

Beau turned 36 on February 11th.  Beau and I went out just ourselves on the actual day to celebrate, and then went over to see Joc and the family on Saturday.  With Joc already 4 days past due, we were bracing for some possible action during our visit.  Well, nothing happened quite when we were there, but low and behold, just hours after our visit, she went into labor and delivered a little baby boy at home that night.  He must have heard the party outside and thought that he wanted to get in on that action.  Welcome, baby Adam!

But first, pictures of our visit.

And finally, here is Sylvie with all her friends, singing some songs.

Birthday blowout

Since Henri was born just 19 hours after our friends' baby, Eric, last January we combined their first birthday parties and held it at a local tumble gym.  Having the  big space was a bonus in two ways: it allowed us to be able to accommodate everyone and gave the kids a chance to get some of their energy out after all the snow and ice we've had in recent weeks.  Happy birthday, Eric and Henri!  Here are pictures from the event last Saturday.
