Our little walker

Sylvie just discovered a new sport: coffee table walking. Here she is demonstrating her new skill.

Turkey Day!

We went to our friends, Mike and Lisa's, house for Thanksgiving dinner, which was delicious! Here are some pictures from our get together:

Mmmm, I heart turkey!

Ooh, too much turkey...

Mommy and Daddy don't let me play with these toys at home!

Look Ma, one hand!

Never one to be left out of doing something dangerous, Iman tries her hand and goes for the "Most stairs climbed" record for the night.

Here, let me get that for you

Sylvie and her CT cousins

Here are some pictures of our visit to Connecticut to see Aunt Amy, Uncle Bill and Ethan and Luke last weekend. Sylvie had a fun time with her cousins, as seen below, and can't wait to see them again in December when they come up to celebrate her birthday !

Thanksgiving #1

We had quite the celebration at our house this past Saturday. In all, there were fourteen adults and four babies for the first annual "Fauxgiving." Jill and Naomi organized this pre-Thanksgiving feast, since many of our friends (including both them) will be in Thailand for the actual holiday. It was quite a get together, with a ton of food and plenty of merriment to go around. I didn't take any pictures of the spread, but instead have photos of us enjoying (a.k.a. eating) the fruits of our labor.

Time for a little Jumperoo!

Here's a short video I took as the night was getting started...

Now, Beau, Sylvie and I only have two more Thanksgivings to go: one at Beau's kung fu school and one at our friends Mike and Lisa's house. Is there such a thing as too much turkey???

Babies Benali come to visit

Joc and the cousins came over for a little playtime last week. Bibi was showing off his mad drumming skills while Iman crawled (and stood) circles around him.

Getting closer...

Getting cloooser...

Sylvie wasn't so sure about sharing her drum, though.

Obama!

Sylvie, though not quite of voting age yet, was able to experience first-hand the thrill of the presidential election this past week--accompanying me to the polls while I cast my vote and eagerly watching the election results as they came in. Who knows, maybe we'll even try to make it down to D.C. for the inauguration. Could be our first train trip!

Watching the polling results very, very closely

Standing up for Obama!

Calling all her friends to share the good news.

Chasing after Marley to give him a celebratory pull of the tail.

Halloween

Here are some pictures of Sylvie's first Halloween. Here she is in her frog costume our front doorstep before heading out for the evening.

We went over to the Davis Sqaure area to walk around, where we stopped into Beau's kung fu school, saw some really cool houses decked out for Halloween, and then headed over to Dudley Street--which we heard about from some friends--to check out the Halloween happenings there. It was totally worth it. The street was closed off, it was packed with people, and all the houses were decked out in a "Hallo-wood" theme, complete with a red carpet running down the middle of the street. Here are a couple pictures of some of the houses.

I also took some video footage with the camera. Unfortunately, the lighting was dark and the camera work wasn't my best, but it gives you somewhat of an idea of the scene.
