Sylvie has been working on a variety of yoga poses lately. The latest pose she has been practicing is the aptly named "The Happy Baby" pose (yes, it's really a pose in yoga). No footage of her chomping on her toes, though, which she loves to do these days. Maybe she didn't want to show off all her skills all at once.

One toy, two players
Thusfar, we've had to keep a close eye on Marley-Sylvie interactions. Marley likes to join us when we're hanging out. Sylvie is quite interested in Marley and now reaches out to grab him. This time, Sylvie was the one creating the interest. Another person to entertain him, just a taste of things to come...

Pet giggles
Not as lively as the pooch laughs; Marley just wasn't trying as hard. But it's a little taste of Sylvie's appreciation of the wild kingdom.

Chow Time
A few weeks ago, Sylvie was introduced to oat cereal as an alternative to mother's milk. She was not interested. Today however, is a different story... She's even feeding herself. We're liking his new found independence. I wonder if we can teach her to change her diaper.
Ummm...cereal...

Dogs!!!
This past Sunday, Beau, Sylvie and I headed over to our friend Russ' house for dinner. He lives in Lincoln on this beautiful property near Walden Pond with Roxy, a Boston Terrier, and Jackson, his Boxer. The last time we all went out there, Sylvie must have been about two months old. Technically, she had met the dogs before but being a newborn and all, I'm sure it was all a blur.
Not this time, though. Had we known the entertainment value of the dogs before, we would have been there every weekend. Sylvie burst into hysterics seeing the pooches. We're talking nearly 30 mins of straight laughter. We wish we had some audio, but the pictures convey the joyful atmosphere...

Get up, sit up
Here's Sylvie working on sitting up. Granted, she's getting a little assistance from the pillow, but she's doing pretty well. In no time, she'll be meditating in the full lotus. Groovy shirt, huh? Peace, Love, and Drool.
Talk about hard work. Maybe I'll just rest here for a moment...

Happy Birthday, Grammy and Great Aunt Janet!
We went down to CT this past Saturday to visit family and celebrate Grammy's and her twin sister, Aunt Janet's, birthday. It was also a chance for Joc and Amine to introduce the babes to the Connecticut crew. Unfortunately, we spaced and forgot to pull out the camera when Beau and Joc's cousins Nadine, Bobbie and Nicky, and their Aunt Betty were there. Hopefully next time we'll be more on it. All was not lost, however. Here are some pictures that we did get during our visit...
Here's Aunt Janet with Iman resting peacefully on her lap.
Wesley (Beau's cousin Craig's oldest son), after an intense game of catch with Beau outside. He's also a wiz at Wii bowling.
Joc and Amine with Iman in Alicia and Craig's kitchen. (Sorry Bibi, no pictures of you this time.)
Our little nature girl.
The family. From left: Pat, Janet, Craig, Janice, Beau and Sylvie, Joc, Amine, Alicia.

Beau and I then stayed over at Amy and Bill's that night. While there, Sylvie had a chance to spend some quality cousin time with Luke.

And finally, upon our return to Boston, we met up with Joc, Amine and the twins and had a birthday dinner at a Japanese restaurant. Sylvie was mighty impressed with the cook's knife skills and highjinks.
